ADONIS HTML Publication - The User Interface

The user interface of the ADONIS HTML publication is structured as follows:

The Header
The header contains general information about the publication's origin (like product and method used), a function for switching between the different views of the publication and a link (default: to the BOC Group homepage).

The Toolbar
The toolbar is located directly below the header. It provides the search function, the zoom function (if "generate zoom levels" was selected during documentation generation), a history of the last viewed models, an "info" icon for showing the general model information , a function for adding the model address of the active model to the address bar of the web browser plus - for model types configured accordingly - the possibility to switch between graphical and tabular view of the model , an e-mail link and a link to the startpage.

The Explorer
The Explorer contains a hierarchical selection list of the published models. The contents of the Explorer vary depending on the view selected in the header: the Complete view shows all published models while the other views only present the models for the view's specific scenario.

The Navigator
Regardless of the model's actual size, the Navigator contains a scaled down view of the whole active model. A coloured frame indicates the area of the model graphics that is currently visible in the view area. If the view area shows other information than model graphics, the Navigator is empty.

The View Area
The view area contains the currently active contents. Usually this is either a graphical or tabular view of the active model or the results of a previously performed search. Via the view area, detailed information on the displayed contents can be called.
